Shop Preview: Spring Bags

I like big bags, and I cannot lie. It's probably a symptom of being a mom, since a purse also becomes a pseudo diaper bag.  But I have a collection of cute smaller purses and clutches that I use to go out for events or date nights--and yes, they're almost all vintage!

Here are some pretty purses that are coming to the shop this week, from totes to backpacks to ladylike shoulder bags:

leather and jute elephant market tote /// tooled leather and textile mini backpack ///
leather and cotton striped tote /// chain strap leather purse /// straw and leather structured box purse

If anything strikes your fancy, don't hesitate to contact us for info...everything will be under $50 (most closer to $25/$30)!

A Little Adventure + Shop Preview

As you may know, Amanda and I live in different states (her in Virginia, me in Pennsylvania).  The three and half hour drive isn't too bad, and we usually get to see each other once a month.  But the summer has been busy and weekends have been filling up fast.  We hadn't visited since June and our next planned get together isn't till Labor Day so, on a whim, we planned a day trip.  And by 'on a whim' I mean, I found out my mom was off work the next day, immediately called Amanda, and the next morning we each hopped in our respective cars and met in Chambersburg, PA--our halfway point.  I almost didn't want to even mention our meeting spot here, because WOW...was it a thrifting gem!!  In our short visit and minimal exploring, we visited three thrift stores and saw two others that we didn't get to check out (next time!).   Here are some photos (mostly of our cute girlies) from our visit....

And a little preview of some of our finds...these bags will all be added to the shop this week!

Thanks for letting us share our little adventure with you.  Happy Monday!

Splurge vs. Steal: Handbags

Handbags are probably the one thing in my closet that are most always vintage.  Partially because I just love a unique bag and largely because the price of a good leather bag these days is outrageous!

Purses and bags are probably our number one seller in the shop, so it's hard to keep them stocked.  But here are a couple that are still for sale--they are not only affordable but also greatly resemble some super pricey modern day versions.  Take a peek!

With vintage options like these, I don't see myself spend more than double digit numbers on a handbag any time soon...

[A Saturday] Shop Preview: Evening Bags

Here are some pretty little purses that would be great to use at a formal event (summer weddings, anyone?).  Some beaded, some glittery, all vintage (of course!).

They should all be in the shop by the end of the weekend!  Have a good one.  : )
