New Horizons

We wanted to take some time today to let you know that there are LOTS of changes in the works for us, and we couldn't be more excited. While we don't want to give too much away (if we've learned anything from makeover shows, there's just something about the Big Reveal), we do want to share a little about what's up with us.

A new blog design.
We finally bit the bullet--we have done our best to keep the blog user-friendly and up to date, but we want a blog that truly reflects who we are and what we're doing (while remaining user-friendly and up to date, of course).  We are thrilled to be working with Dana of Wonder Forest on a brand spankin' new blog.  Not only will the design be new, but we will also be opening ourselves up to posts that are more than just vintage/Etsy-related (although the theme of vintage, thrifting, and reusing will definitely be a common thread).

A new project/collection for Miskabelle.
Jayme has been working tirelessly at her sewing machine (and Amanda has been trying, but she already broke one needle and sewed something backwards....so she may be doing some handsewing) the past few weeks on a set of awesome redesigns.  We are using damaged/badly in need of a makeover pieces and making them into more modern, wearable items.  We are working on pieces to fit every woman's shape.  When we first opened the shop, we did several redesigns that were very successful, but this time, we're really devoting ourselves to the work.

...and with a new collection comes a new Lookbook.
We are still figuring out exactly what we want to do, but we were so pleased with the results of our first fall lookbook (we're approaching 4000 views and have a 5 star rating!) that we knew we wanted to do another. Since this redesign collection is a pretty big deal, a lookbook is a great way to show things off on real people and give a chance to do the hair, makeup and styling that we love!

Holiday Vintage is on the way.
We are slowly collecting festive, pretty things for you to wear to holiday parties and get togethers. Little black dresses and some pops of red...unfortunately no ugly Christmas sweaters, but Etsy is still a great resource for that! We're hoping to have a little party when all the stuff goes live, with a chance to win a great holiday package from us! (The dress below is already in the shop and would be amazing for the holidays--look at that back! And it's in a beautiful hunter green velvet. Go snag it, size smalls!)

PHEW.  We're busy. And excited. And very, very happy.  We are working (and praying!) tirelessly. We are ready for the next step in our business and blog...2013 is going to be an awesome year.

But let's focus on getting through Halloween and Thanksgiving (and our mom's 50th birthday!) first...

What's new with you?

xo,
J&A
