For those of you who don’t personally know us (or who haven’t been able to keep up with our ever-changing lives) here is a little rundown of the basics:
-Both of us grew up in Central Pennsylvania.
-Amanda went to grad school in D.C./Virginia area, lived there for a bit, moved back to PA for a bit, and now is back in D.C./Virginia area.
-Jayme is still in Central Pennsylvania.
So since starting Miskabelle, we have lived in separate cities, then the same city and now separate cities again (about 4 hours apart). Makes doing business a little bit of a challenge at times, but it can also be a benefit—two cities to network in, find inventory in, and a great excuse for a weekend mini-vaycay.
This weekend the hubby and I (and the pup, Sophie…and the bun in the oven) are making the trek down to D.C./Virginia to visit Amanda her fiancée and their little one (Aurora <3). It’s been a while since we’ve had the chance to travel to that area and I was reflecting on our last big trip to ‘the city’…. over a year ago. Miskabelle was still in the works…we were busy thrifting and collecting vintage finds and making a plan of action. Feels like FOREVER ago! Just thought I’d share a couple snapshots of Amanda and I from our last hoorah in D.C. together. And hopefully we’ll have some new memories to share with you next week!
