Outfit Post: Dress Swap #2!

Did you see last week's dress swap with Amanda and Lauren of A Wild Tonic?  Well, since we took turns styling a piece from her shop last week, this week it was time for us to take a stab at swapping a Miskabelle dress.  Lauren and I each styled this pretty floral frock.  Click HERE to see her take on it, and look below to see mine!

I've never done a knee high boot with a dress this length, but I think it's kind of cool.  I added the knit hat and big shoulder bag for a casual feel.  I was so tempted to put on a belt...but I'm trying to lay off the accessory overkill that I tend do!

boots:  Frye, hat: old/gift, jewelry: mix of vintage and everyday randoms...

Don't forget to CLICK OVER to see how Lauren styled this dress!  As I'm writing this I haven't seen it yet either and I'm pretty psyched to check it out!

Outfit Post: Blogger Restyle, 1970s

This month we're excited to be partnering with Lauren of blog and corresponding vintage shop A Wild Tonic.  We wanted to do more than the usual sponsor hoopla (typical introduction post and/or giveaway), and do something more interactive and fun! So we swapped two dresses, one from each shop, to style up in our own ways. Today is the first installment, with a little 70s number from Lauren's shop!

 Outfit details:  cardigan-J.Crew (thrifted), dress-c/o A Wild Tonic, belt-vintage, heels-Urban Outfitters,
necklace-vintage key on chain

This is just the kind of dress I love for fall--add a belt, a cardigan and some platform heels (tights if it's cool enough!) and you have an outfit that looks super put-together, but ultimately, take five minutes to throw on.  The same goes for my recent love of this hairdo: I know that milkmaid braids are soooo-2010 in the blog world, but my hair wasn't long enough back then.  Now that it is, I can spray a little dry shampoo and let a good hairwashing last almost a week, people. (Sounds gross, but I swear, I shower in between.)

Go check out how Lauren styled this dress over on her blog today!

xo,
Amanda
