Vintage Gift Guide: The Glamour-Puss

Everyone and their mother is going gift-guide blogs because it's that special time of year...we decided to make some gift-giving guides for vintage lovers.  Vintage is also a great gift for "the woman who has everything" because you can give one-of-a-kind pieces with special details. Also, because we tend to keep a budget for our own shopping, everything in our guides will be under $100!

Today's guide is for your friend/sister/mother, The Glamour-Puss.

Who is she?  The Glamour-Puss loves luxury. She's a throwback to old Hollywood screen sirens. She prefers heels to flats and never leaves home without lipstick.  She is always perfectly coiffed, and she knows how to indulge. She owns at least five LBD's. There's probably a poster or coffee table book of Marilyn Monroe (or Lana Del Rey?) somewhere in her house.  She would much rather be overdressed than under-dressed for a party...in fact, she prefers it that way.

The Gifts

1.Vanity Set, $30 via Lakeside Cottage
This one is vintage, but new in the box, so she could actually use it! But a pretty vintage vanity set looks great in a girly bedroom, even if it's just used as decor.

2. Whiting and Davis Snake Necklace, $75 via iloveluci
Channeling Cleopatra...this snake even has ruby-red eye. A guaranteed statement piece for the woman who loves to be the center of attention.

3. Leopard Fur Collar, $32 via sparvintheieletree
Because any outfit could use a little leopard (a great LBD update!)

4. Silk Kimono Robe, $39 (a STEAL!) via independencevintage
For after her (daily) bubble bath.

5. Waist-Cinching Bow Belt, $14 via PopFizzVintage
To create that hourglass figure.

6. Beaded Cardigan Sweater, $85 via AnaChronos
An everyday basic with a little bit of glitz. Office-appropriate sparkle.

7. Ornate Box Bag, $60 via SkinandWood
 A one-of-a-kind bag for a one-of-a-kind gal.

So before you head to the mall or some big chain, consider giving the gift of vintage to someone you love!  It's thoughtful, budget-friendly, unique, and good for the world.

xo,
J&A
