Outfit Post: Denim on Denim

I am really surprised that I haven't posted a similar outfit before--this shirt has been worn to death (two of the snap front closures are broken and I have safety pin holding the shirt closed!) and these jeans are pretty much a daily staple.  I have definitely worn this combo often, but I guess it hasn't been photo-documented.  It is eerily similar to Amanda's outfit post from almost two years ago though.

Paired with my DIY boots (info HERE) and a vintage granny sweater, and I'm out the door.

....oh, and a streak of purple hair!

sweater: vintage,  chambray top:  old/Walmart clearance rack!,  jeans: Gap,  boots:  DIY

Tomorrow my baby, Lyla Georgette, turns 2!  It also marks the kick off to a lot of December celebrations for our family--her birthday, then Christmas, then my husband's 30th (!!!) and lastly, New Years.  And tonight is my last evening to work at my part time job until the new year (woooohooo!).  So if you see me today, expect to see a big smile on my face.

    1. Aw, thanks! I have the tired-eyes look in these photos for some reason... too much holiday stress leads to lack of sleep I suppose!

  3. I've always been afraid I would look frumpy in denim-on-denim, but you make it look so chic that you know I will have to try it at some point now!! :) Your boots totally make it.

I can't believe Lyla is two...why, oh why, can they not slow down a little?!

    1. You could totally pull it off! I like having the cardigan to break it up a bit. Yes...I can't believe she is two either!! Time flies when you have a little one, huh?
