Weekend with the Fam

We had the most perfect fall weekend in Virginia...a little chilly, but sunny and leaf-y and great for entertaining! The whole family came down to spend the weekend at our place. We started festivities on Friday night when we went to dinner at a local brewery/pub. The next day, we walked (and ate!) the Farmer's Market, then took the little gals to a farm where they have tons of animals and a carousel. Later in the afternoon, we visited our church pumpkin patch and ended the day with a homecooked meal of (grilled steaks for the meat eaters!), stuffed portobello mushrooms, french bread, and harvest kale salad.

On Sunday, we had a leisurely morning, followed by some shopping and a backyard campfire for lunch. Jayme and I only spent a little time doing/talking business--but that was perfectly all right with us. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend together (Jayme took most of these pics, which is why they are awesome):

Hope you all had a lovely weekend too! We can't wait to get together again in November--although there may be a little more work involved, as we have TONS of things happening for both the shop and blog as we head into the holiday (WHAT?!) season.

  1. Aww! Your family is so cute. Love that last photo of the babies snuggling at bedtime. Cuteness overload! ANd, yes?! What?! The holidays? I am usually so on my game for xmas shopping year round, and that is jsut not the case this year. :) xo

  2. That's my favorite picture too! I was at Target yesterday and they had both a Halloween AND Christmas section...which I just think is ridiculous!
