We had the most perfect fall weekend in Virginia...a little chilly, but sunny and leaf-y and great for entertaining! The whole family came down to spend the weekend at our place. We started festivities on Friday night when we went to dinner at a local brewery/pub. The next day, we walked (and ate!) the Farmer's Market, then took the little gals to a farm where they have tons of animals and a carousel. Later in the afternoon, we visited our church pumpkin patch and ended the day with a homecooked meal of (grilled steaks for the meat eaters!), stuffed portobello mushrooms, french bread, and harvest kale salad.
On Sunday, we had a leisurely morning, followed by some shopping and a backyard campfire for lunch.
Jayme and I only spent a little time doing/talking business--but that was perfectly all right with us. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend together (Jayme took most of these pics, which is why they are awesome):
Hope you all had a lovely weekend too! We can't wait to get together again in November--although there may be a little more work involved, as we have TONS of things happening for both the shop and blog as we head into the holiday (WHAT?!) season.
xo,
Amanda & Jayme
Aww! Your family is so cute. Love that last photo of the babies snuggling at bedtime. Cuteness overload! ANd, yes?! What?! The holidays? I am usually so on my game for xmas shopping year round, and that is jsut not the case this year. :) xo
ReplyDeleteThat's my favorite picture too! I was at Target yesterday and they had both a Halloween AND Christmas section...which I just think is ridiculous!
