Surprise! (And a little update.)

Jayme turns the big 3-0 on September 14th...she will be coming down to Virginia the following weekend for the DC Flea, but we wanted to surprise her with a visit in the middle of the week!  Yes, she was surprised.  First thing on the agenda:  a sister-sister coffee date.

Wish we could do this every week (I will never stop trying to convince her that she needs to move south...and next door!).

Sorry we have been so MIA on the blog:  between the new baby, other work, and getting everything ready for the flea market, our blogging has fallen by the wayside.  But we can't wait to share more about what we're up to!

February: The Month of Love

construction paper hearts, sewn together with the sewing machine--so quick and easy!

paper heart doilies with glued on hearts, hung with thread

classic construction paper loops--just cut strips, staple loops together and hang!

As you can see, Jayme's been busy decorating her house (so fun!)...and the two of us have been busy planning special things on the blog to celebrate a whole Month of Love (not just February 14th). We're trying to make it a very fun, themed month--we hope you'll love it!

Also, starting today, the whole vintage shop will be 20% off, all month, for customer appreciation...showing some LOVE to our friends/supporters/encouragers and potential new customers!  No code necessary--the sale prices are already there for you.  We have lots of cute things for Valentine's Day dress up (but stay tuned for more ideas as we begin our lovin' month...)

We really do love you and can't wait to celebrate all the good things going on around us, including our own Loves, who encourage and inspire us. (Andrew, Lyla, Quentin, and Aurora, we love you so much!)

Home Again, Home Again

We're both back home, safe and sound (and sad that our time together is over!)...Northern Virginia and the DC area experienced some CRAZY storms while we were away, but thankfully, our house was okay, and we didn't lose power. We had a great long weekend and are looking forward to sharing photos and stories (and vintage items we found!) with you this week!

For more sneak peeks, follow us on Instagram (@jaymeeileen and @mandamiska).

We're trying to enjoy our last blissful hours of freedom...power is still out in parts of VA and MD, including at Q's work, so we secretly have our fingers crossed that we get another day together...

Hope you all enjoyed your weekends and stayed safe and cool!

 xo,
J&A
