Music To Our Eyes: First Aid Kit

I first discovered the band First Aid Kit when I was flipping through Nylon magazine and stumbled upon the photo below of the duo--the white kaftan was identical to one we sold in the shop!  While it most likely wasn't the exact one (the sisters hail from Sweden and we had sold the dress to someone in the U.S.), it was still pretty cool to see such a unique piece being styled in a photo shoot.

Since then, the band has grown in popularity...but their style remains the same:  VERY 1970's hippy chick.  Exaggerated prints and high waisted denim, floppy hats and waist length hair.  I'm pretty sure that their wardrobe is not just vintage-inspired, but that they're sporting actual vintage, head to toe.
