Vintage Halloween Costumes, Part 2: Grab Bag

Jayme and I were texting costume ideas back and forth to brainstorm for these blog posts, and while the TV characters one fell together right away, the other ideas we had were not thematically related. So part 2 of our Vintage Halloween Costumes post is a veritable smorgasbord of costumes...a little something for everyone.

Seeing how easy it is to piece together a look makes me love vintage even more...and the great thing is that so many of these pieces can stand alone in your day-to-day wardrobe. Why buy a cheap piece of overpriced polyester from a costume store when you could by high quality vintage items and get to wear them again?!  <steps off soapbox>

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Let us know if you're wearing vintage in the comments below!

Modern Vintage: The Roaring Twenties

The Twenties are back this season--not that they ever left. Between the film adaptation of The Great Gatsby coming soon (read the book first!) to last year's Midnight in Paris to New York's buzzed about Jazz Age Lawn Party, the twenties continue to inspire modern trends.

Happy Friday, dear readers and friends! Hope you're celebrating this weekend in style--maybe even a little flapper style? Which of these pieces would you love to make all yours?

xo,
Amanda

P.S.  In most of our Modern Vintage picks everything is $50 or under...but I cheated a little and included one pricier piece, but not by much:  the burnout velvet cape is only $66.28 right now on ASOS!
