Love is in the Air: Partner with Us in February
The vintage business has been a little slow after the holidays. And the blog partnerships have too--I think it's been true for almost everyone. It's just the mid-winter doldrums.
We're hoping to rev things up and share the love this month! Here are a couple incentives if you partner with Miskabelle Vintage in February (besides the usual ones!):
-A little valentine package from the Miskabelle ladies, just to say thanks (& we love you!)
-A code for a FREE second ad, to be used any time in 2013!
There are many exciting things happening on the blog in February...it's the month of Love, after all. We have been hard at working planning so many fun ideas and project (stay tuned as we introduce some of them on Friday's blog!) We'd love to have you aboard.
xoxo

December promises to be a huge month for us--between the new blog design, our awesome giveaway, and the approaching holidays for the shop, there is so much going on. We would love to promote your blog or small business--we work with you, and we try our best to get creative!
Check out our ads page for more info...small ads start at just $5. We've already partnered with some amazing folks who have quickly become friends. Of course, we're always open to more virtual pals. That's what it's all about. :)
We are thankful for the amazing response to our giveaway--so many new readers who we're excited to meet! If you have a blog, we're also open to ad swaps if it seems like a good fit for our readers--just drop us an email!

Call for Partners
Hello friends and readers:
We have so many exciting things happening for our shop and blog in the upcoming months. Our traffic has almost doubled in the last three months, and our vintage shop is approaching its 1200th sale. We are excited about opening up our blog to Partners for the first time ever. We are starting out with super reasonable rates and no more than 10 ads total each month, with only one large featured ad. We would love to work with other vintage fashion blogs and shops, handmade shops and small businesses that we know our readers will love. We already have several amazing shops/blogs that we are thrilled to be working with!
Why should you partner with us?
1. We genuinely want to form partnerships and relationships.
While we would also like to make a little money from the blog we work so hard on, that's not our top priority. We want to build community and support other creatives who are just like us. We know you want to get noticed. We know you want to make a living doing what you love. We know you want to work with like-minded people.
2. We have had our own experiences with purchasing ads, both positive and negative, and we want to use that knowledge make your experience as awesome as possible.
Some things we didn't like in the past:
-The blogger or business is only interested in conversing with us during the month of the purchase ad, and then it's as though we no longer exist to them.
-Our ad getting lost in a sea of a million sidebar ads.
-Our ad image being the only promotion done (no blog posts, tweets, Pinterest pins, FB mentions).
It goes without saying that we're making sure none of these issues happen with our Partners. Our ads include frequent social media mentions and true collaborations, not just a one sided ad purchase. You pay us for the ad, so in our minds: we're working for you! Not the other way around (although partnerships should be just that: mutually beneficial). Each month we will also be using a portion of our advertising budget to advertise on a highly trafficked blog, in order to bring even more readers over to see your ad. And the money we make from selling ads will simply go back into the shop and blog to make them bigger and better.
We are beginning our ads in September of 2012. We would love your support and community, and we hope to return the favor! We are using Passionfruitads, which makes it super easy to buy and upload an ad. You can find all of our rates and info here. We'd love to have you here.

Meet Our July Partners
You may have noticed some tweets and a few new images in our sidebar. We have been working hard on our blog for 3+ years--it is work that we love every second of, but it consumes hours of our lives, and it is an important part of our business. We had always seen this blog as something interactive, a place that would grow and change--and one of those changes is going to be entering into the for-profit blog world.
We decided to start using Passionfruit ads as a way to build partnerships (we don't like the word sponsorship since we truly believe that there should be something in it for both people/businesses involved!). This month, we "swapped" ads with some other fabulous ladies who are also using Passionfuit blogs as a way to build community.
So without further ado, this month's group of lovelies...
Erika of OUR COZY CUBBYHOLE
Your "song of the summer.": I have been listening to the Tapestry album on vinyl nonstop so I will have to go with "I Feel the Earth Move" by Carol King! Love that woman :)
Fashion trend you can't get enough of: I am LOVING the chiffon button up shirts/blouses trend right now. I could buy 100 if them!
Last thing you read (book, magazine, newspaper): Finished reading? House Beautiful July Issue. Currently reading? I am finally reading Friday Night Lights after being obsessed with the TV series
Other favorite blog/s: So many!! Young House Love, Centsational Girl, Apartment Therapy to name a few.
Favorite thing about yourself: I am a sunshine-y optimist, which I get from my mom, with just enough of my practical father to ground me. I feel like I can stay very positive and still make smart decisions.
What you do when you aren't blogging: I work full time as a assistant editor at a post production facility but when I'm not working I enjoy hanging out with my two men: Walker (my amazing boyfriend) and Bo (my amazing pup), working on DIY apartment projects, being outdoors, cooking with my man (he's the brains behind the operation... I am just a decent sous chef and baker), learning how to take nice pictures with my camera, listening to & playing music (I play acoustic guitar), reading, drinking some vino, and hanging out with friends! I tend to adore the little things in life... as long as it is quality time with people I love.

Your "song of the summer": Right now I am really digging "Some Nights" by Fun. It's just the perfect song to belt out on the way home from work. Another favorite that I have had in frequent rotation during the past several summers is "Paper Planes by M.I.A. I've come to associate that song with summer for some reason. Not that I go around forging visas and robbing people during the summer. At least, not all summer. :)
Thanks so much to all of you for being part of our blog this month! We hope you'll consider sticking with us or returning in the future.
Starting in September, we're hoping to work with your small business, blog, or handmade shop at extremely reasonable rates--see more info on our PR/Advertising page! We may also consider swaps if they seem like a good fit for our readers. You can always email us! We'd love to hear from you!

Fashion trend you can't get enough of: I'm loving the dainty sundresses this summer. I love the structured eyelet dresses and the flowy floral dresses. If given the choice I will usually choose a dress over pants or shorts. They are so comfortable and just look nicer. I also love that mint green is everywhere now. It's such a lovely color, so light and feminine. I love pairing it with a coral or yellow.
Last thing you read: I'm ashamed to say that the last books I read were the 50 Shades series. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about! Luckily I had them e-mailed to me so I didn't have to spend money on them. I eventually had to start skipping over all the "good" parts. Too much. The current issue of Outdoor Photographer arrived in my mailbox yesterday afternoon, so I'll be reading that this evening!
Other favorite blog/s: I love The Pioneer Woman for recipes. I also read The 818, Young House Love, Harper's Happenings, and Alternative Apparel's blog. I have hundreds of blogs in my reader, so those are just a sampling of my favorites.
Favorite thing about yourself: I think I have pretty green eyes.
What you do when you aren't blogging: Well, I have a full-time job so most of my day is spent doing that. I try to sneak in a link or a small post on breaks, though. Then I spend my evenings with my husband and our 3-year old and 10-month old boys. We like to take them to the park or the pool, and on the weekends we may try to get into the city for a Braves game or just to explore Atlanta. We also like to find new places to eat and things to do around our neighborhood. We've been venturing out and finding lots of fun stuff!
