Splurge vs. Steal: Fall Fashion 2012

It's almost as good as Santa Claus dropping down the chimney: the day the mailman delivers the fall fashion issues, biceps bulging under the weight of a million ads.  While at the beach, I perused hundreds of pages (mostly of ELLE and InStyle) and saw so many fall trends that could be easily found in much more inexpensive vintage versions (and in the Miskabelle shop!) 

Here are 5 of my favorites:

Wear with:  cigarette pants, designer scarf and colorblock platforms for day, 

over a scarf-print shift dress with metallic heels for night

Which trend will you be rocking this fall?  I'm most in love with the black leather trend, hoping the thrift gods will bless me with a vintage skirt or moto jacket for the season.
